The street food phase is still in full swing and Feast gave a great platform for the best of the food fair artistes to show their edible wares in the rickety and cavernous space of the Sorting Office venue in Angle, Islington. For any foodie this is a great way to spend half a day.
After recovering from a veritable food induced stupor, I coming out of the haze and having great joy writing, reliving the flavours and sensations from all the delights that were enjoyed from the large communal areas, live music, activities (Pizza making!) and delectable delights on offer. Dishes are very reasonably priced; the cold is staved off with warm toddies available in every direction and hot treats in the form of freshly baked thin crust pizzas with fresh hot tomato and spicy sausage or double whammy hot dogs and creamy mac and cheese with choice of tasty toppings.
With the line up including: Mishkin’s, Ceviche, Gordon Ramsay’s York and Albany Chip, Big Apple Hot Dogs, Lily Vanilli, Yum Bun and Pizza Pilgrims there really is something for everyone’s taste buds and with the summers Feast fair selling out we put our names down to see all there was at the festive version this year.
Feast might be over for 2012 but the foodsters providing the fodder are still around for your pleasure at various pop ups and Christmas markets across London. Contact us for more information or to hire any of these caterers for your event. We are luckily enough to have a few of the Best of the West’s edible entertainers hosting nights at our PingTron Pop Up (13th-22nd of Dec 2012) cooking up a storm at 92 Kensington Park Road, Notting Hill. Flyer below has more info, we hope to be adding addtion dates and delights to the line up.
We will post info on the next Feast fair offerings as soon as we have the more details. We most definitely enjoyed our time there and would be happy to recommend this as a fun and fattening way to spend an afternoon. Our advice…….Go hungry. http://wefeast.co.uk/
