The oasis of Kew Gardens is home to the fabulously- fantastical- fantasy temporary installation of Pineapple Island and Tutti Frutti Boating from Bompas & Parr. This is running alongside the ‘IncrEdibles’ at Kew – a voyage through surprising edible plants…. What’s not to love and enjoy?
If you like us look for some kind of balance with your social, eating and entertaining life, then we think you might be interested to know a little but more about what is happening at Kew Gardens. Take a short and sweet break away from the street food scene, head to the pocket of what feels like idyllic English countryside that is Kew Gardens and spend some time hugging trees, take a trip on the Tutti Frutti Boating lake (with fruit mist) and then play some soothing sounds by touching plant leaves on Pineapple Island.
The fun and ‘incredible’ delights continue as you can educate yourself in Palm House – foraging out info about plants we consume regularly without really thinking about it, or take yourself off on a tasty ‘Palatable Plant Trail’? Then stop in at the café, pick up an ice-cream to have before your picnic!?
Also don’t forget tot check out the ‘Rose Garden Tea Party’ – A giant table, laden with a large variety of edible plants on show to be admired and fondled (maybe that was just us!) Pure child–like delight.
Entertaining: The perfect outing to invite people to; parents, friends with kids, big kids or people that love what Bompas & Parr do. Perfect for entertaining on many levels. We see lots of fun (in the occasional sun) with picnics, boating and a little drop of Rose wine…..
Ticket prices: Access to Kew for adults £12.50 pp. The Tutti Frutti Boating is £4.50 for 30 mins pp.
The Incredibles at Kew is on till 1st September 2013.
